About the Role
Addicted 2 Hair is seeking a skilled, personable, and hygiene-conscious Piercing Specialist to join our friendly team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, precise, and stylish ear, nose, and body piercings while providing clients with a calm, professional, and comfortable experience. Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the salon team to create a friendly, welcoming environment
- Perform a variety of professional piercings including ear lobes, cartilage, nose, and other body piercings as per client requests and salon services offered
- Conduct thorough client consultations, advising on suitable jewellery, piercing locations, aftercare, and safety precautions
- Follow strict hygiene and sterilisation protocols before, during, and after every procedure
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully sanitised work area
- Provide aftercare instructions and product recommendations to clients for safe healing
- Ensure all piercing equipment and tools are handled safely, disposed of correctly, or sterilised as per health regulations
- Stay up to date with industry trends, safety regulations, and new techniques
- Handle clients with sensitivity, care, and professionalism — especially first-time or nervous customers
- Maintain accurate client records and consent forms
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional Piercing Specialist (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Relevant industry certifications or training in professional piercing and infection control
- Strong knowledge of safe piercing techniques and Australian health regulations
- Excellent communication, consultation, and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive with clients of all ages and backgrounds
- High attention to detail, hygiene, and personal presentation
- A friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude
